Jujutsu Kaisen Blu-ray via Crunchyroll x VIZ

I wonder what will happen with the North American BD release of 0, considering Funimation distributed to movie.

It's licensed by Crunchyroll, and despite how well it did, it will seem baffling to say this but who knows if it'll come out in a timely manner. Crunchyroll movies shown in theaters have an extremely poor track record for coming out on disc. The following still have no Blu-ray release:

-Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress compilation movies
-Haikyu!! recap movie 4 (recap movie 3 is streaming, the first two never got picked up)
-Saga of Tanya the Evil: The Movie
-Konosuba: The Movie

I'm sure Funi/now Crunchyroll will want to keep the physical release with them now. No need to send it off to VIZ like they did the first season.

It looks like the bonus disc in the deluxe edition for 0 is a DVD and not a Blu-ray. Kinda disappointed by this. I don't understand why they wouldn't go for a Blu-ray disc? Since I'm not region free I might cancel my preorder for the deluxe and go for standard. The art box and booklet will be cool but not being able to play the bonus content sucks.

Cost saving measure. They can pack in the same disc with the DVD edition. I believe bonus discs on Japanese releases are DVD most of the time.

Considering Viz doesn't release stuff in parts nowadays, I almost wonder if they're being forced to release the exact same sets as Anime Limited down to the discs. I'd love it if CR called them out on their bullshit discs, though probably not. Otherwise, good luck Americans. Enjoy getting part 1 in 2023.

Looks just as bad as Yashahime. Gonna pass and get the UK one it looks like. I don't know what Viz is thinking with these small LE sets that don't go with each other. They had it right with Sailor Moon. Also lol at the price
