I am 49yrs old. When I watched the 1997 Berserk TV series, it had just released on DVD and I was in my mid 20's. Ever since then, I've been wishing to the stars....that Berserk gets a new complete anime, done with care, and one that does the Miura's manga work justice. I watched the movie trilogy and they were...OK, but I refuse to touch garbage 2016 TV remake which looks like absolute CGI trash.

Unfortunately, and this is the heartbreaking part...as much as I'd love to consume the franchise in manga format, I can't read manga, due to ADD and minor vision issues.

But as someone who can't read manga but loves the original 26 episode 1997 anime, do you guys think we will ever see a new, fleshed out anime series covering the whole manga, and one that does the franchise justice(ie. beautiful animation and without any crappy CGI)? Or is that delusional wishful thinking at this point?

It's always possible when, if the series, ends its run in Manga form. At that time, maybe. Beyond that though, there is a bit of good faith in the fan base that needs to be restored after that anime. While the story takes care of itself, the animation was not good and really turned fans off. I absolutely love Berserk and even I hard a hard time with how poorly it was done.

I'm just glad the Musou game exists because it covered more than the 2016 trashfire did.

As for a new complete adaptation, I doubt it would be fleshed out until they get to the material not already covered in anime form (meaning Golden Age would probably be shorter than the films).

Hard to tell with Aniplex involved but if not Dallas then probably the terrible 2016 cast again.

Unless the original voice actors return then it'll be sub only for me. That's why I'm holding onto the Golden Age Arc trilogy set.

Who knows. There's a countdown on the Memorial Edition website that will end in a couple of weeks. Maybe that will end up being an announcement that they'll be animating additional arcs.

Wow. So that will essentially make this the 3rd time these same actors have recorded essentially the same scenes? I wonder if the Memorial Edition is a total redub or if it's more like pickup lines to fill in just the new scenes (seems like that would be difficult).

It appears to be a full redub. Someone on ANN or Reddit (I forgot which) said the script is almost the same but line delivery is different.
