it has come to my attention that there was recently released a US exclusive umbrella title. it never got announced for the australian release calendar. i have asked umbrella and they have confirmed it with me.

Anyone know what's going on with this release? This site says it was supposed to be released back in June but it's not available at JB or Umbrella's own website.

Sunset is a guilty pleasure of mine and there's been no other release of it on blu-ray.

It was cancelled I believe and they're just releasing Sunset on DVD instead.

Similar thing happened to a second Jack Lemmon two film collection.

In the latest Umbrella email, they mention a 2K restoration of Melvin, Son of Alvin appearing at a film festival in a new 2K restoration.

Pure speculation, but maybe the Alvin Purple trilogy might be coming soon on Blu-ray.

Isn't there a TV series, that comes inbetween the 2nd & 3rd films, as well? Maybe they should include that as well for a definitive Alvin Purple collection even if the TV series is DVD only in said ideal set.
