Excellent news. I probably wouldn't have picked this up if it was dub only, the Japanese cast is perfect in this movie.

Justin said the restoration is pretty good, so if it gets his approval, then I'd say it should be worth a purchase.

How does this PQ compare to the UK disc from MHE?

I just finished watching this release having previously owned the original DVD and then the Umbrella blu-ray. The video looks quite good overall despite a few instances of odd grain and one brief instance of what appeared to be image ghosting. Some camera and character movement occasionally seemed a bit choppy, however, it may have always been (I couldn't do a direct comparison to previous versions) Minor issues aside, this release really looks great.

The Japanese mix really comes alive in 5.1. Dialogue is crisp, sound quality is phenomenal, and there is a large, immersive sound field. I'd watched the previous releases in stereo so this was an extremely pleasant surprise for me. Subtitles are easily legible and well timed.

Overall, this looks to be a very sound release.

Pretty sure you don't. It was animated in < 1080p resolution with a muted SDR color palate.
