Default Ladies And Gentlemen, The Fabulous Stains (1982) coming from Imprint on November 30

https://viavision.com.au/shop/ladies...ollection-189/

Trailer

Soundtrack

A soundtrack was not released at the time of the movie's release. However, in 2008, Rhino announced they would be releasing a soundtrack on digital and LP to coincide with their DVD release.

The digital release was available for a very brief time before being pulled:
https://www.discogs.com/release/3286...ins-Soundtrack

The LP release was cancelled and only a test pressing exists:
https://www.discogs.com/release/1342...ins-Soundtrack

You can see Rhino's cancelled soundtrack release advertised at the end of this promo ("DVD and Soundtrack now available from Rhino"):

Great! Great! GREAT news. I love this movie. It is so RAW yet compelling and entertaining. Diane Lane is ferocious as Corrinne 'Third Degree' Burns!!!

I really hope Imprint can include the Sam Green and Sarah Jacobson documentary, as well as the theatrical trailer. Other than that... it looks to be a pretty complete release!

Well done Imprint!!!

P.S. I think there is also a 'Films of Sarah Jacobson' Bluray out there that includes the documentary.

Got to catch a screening of this at ACMI (from the only 35mm screening print in existence) over a decade ago. A great time was had by all. This is the first Imprint title I’ve instantly pre-ordered from their site.

I’ve dropped a comment on Imprint’s FB page about maybe having a word to Paramount about the long-shelved Robert Stigwood production Young Lust - A Soap Opera (1984). Contrary to a lot of writing about the film, it did get a very brief cinema release in Austin, Texas (two and a half weeks in two cinemas) before getting vaulted. A print was donated to the Library of Congress in 1985, so at least that exists. Even if it’s terrible - as two of the three reviews that exist argue - it’s got a cast including Dana Carvey, Fran Drescher, Mary Woronov and Terry Kiser, so it’s got curiosity value at least.

Great that they got Marin Kanter to do a new interview. She left the business over thirty years ago.

Such a great underground gem of a film. Glad they were finally able to sort the music rights too.

I've let Imprint / Via Vision know about the existence of the 'Behind The Movie' documentary. Apparently, their acquisitions department are looking into it.
Hopefully they can find a way to include it. Fingers crossed.

Grindhouse Video has it up for pre-order in the US, $27.99. I'm not sure if it's region free but often imprint is.

There seems to be quite a bit of hype for this release. Can anyone enlighten me as to why people are really looking forward to this? I haven't seen the movie before.

It's a CULT CLASSIC film. It was barely released back in the day (for a variety of reasons... a poor test screening, behind the scenes issues between director and writer, then music rights) so it's gained a lot of cult buzz.

It's also a movie that 'predicted' the whole Riot-grrl movement... before it was a thing. Many musicians mention it as their favourite film and that it inspired them to become musicians.

Lastly, it's a damn fine movie with a GREAT cast... Diane Lane, Laura Dern, Ray Winstone (three sizable 'names' just there), plus many 'punk' music icons... i.e. Sex Pistols, The Clash, Metro Randy, The Tubes etc.

It's definitely an experience

It's hard to say. It's a Paramount film.

This isn't related to Ladies And Gentlemen, The Fabulous Stains but Touched By Love was added to Amazon Prime in HD last month:
https://www.amazon.com/Touched-Love-...dp/B0B8M5G511/

It was never released on DVD and is not available to buy/rent digitally.

It's also available on The Roku Channel:

Any early reviews on this release yet? I hope it's a good one considering the rare cult status of the movie.

That's amazing, now this will complete all her filmography on HD or better. Waiting on my order of Fabulous Stains, hopefully it gets shipped soon.

I really hope 'Touched By Love' is released physically at some point on bluray.
