I wish that RightStuf (RIP) had managed to get Gasaraki, the most underrated mecha show of our time, onto at least a SD bluray. Preferably it and its sister show of Blue Gender would be brought over on HD bluray, might as well dream big.

DVDs still hold some advantages over bluray, but now that RS' dvd set has been liquidated in a fire sale, that's not much consolation.

Both of these are Aniplex titles so unlikely.

Lupin III Part II (with the Pilot Films)
This should be on your second list since they released all of Part II on DVD.

Tokyo Mew Mew (plus a separate release for the Mew Mew Power dub)
I'm not so sure a separate release for the dub would work in this case considering it was unfinished.

Finished 'Junk Boy' and am currently watching 'Golden Boy'. I would love BD's of both. They're hilarious!

There's a DVD of 'Golden Boy' from Discotek. Not sure if they still have the rights, and if so, would they upgrade it to BD?

There's also a DVD of 'Junk Boy'. I think the rights to that one are locked behind the lion's gate. So probably little hope of that one getting an upgrade.

Justin once mentioned that remastering Golden Boy from the source they had would be a nightmare.

Are we allowed to mention OVA's?

If so then one I would like to see the US get in HD is Dragon's Heaven. The creator will never allow it probably because they said that it looks the best on DVD. And that an HD transfer would ruin the atmosphere of the movie.

I'm not a regular in these parts but would have assumed OVA's were allowed. To add to Dragon's Heaven which is also on my list, for the record I'd love to also see:

OG Macross
Macross DYRL (I read a comment in the Macross thread saying this is never going to happen for some reason)
All of Slayers 1 - 3 and the movies and OVAs up to the more recent stuff
Burn Up! OVA
Genmu Senki Leda OVA
and Spriggan
(and retail release for Gunsmith Cats)

Discotek picked up a few titles on my list since my last post here. So let's go for another list:

Touch
Attack No. 1
Yotoden (OVA series)
Queen Millennia
Ashita no Joe TV series

When you consider Initial D was never that big of a seller for Tokyopop nor FUNimation, I'm not shocked. Seems the movies didn't do well enough for Sentai Filmworks either.

Initial D is one of those popular yet niche genre shows that probably only attracts a very specific type of audience (car and street racing fans). It's also pretty old to today's fans, and the dated CG cars further minimizes its audience. It's a good show but it asks a lot of the modern viewer to get into it, and doesn't have the casual audience hand holding that a niche show like, say, Yowamushi Pedal does.
