This is Ice Age: The Adventures of Buck Wild and Home Sweet Home Alone Again…
Disney has reverted to it’s late 1990’s/early 2000’s era with cash grab sequels using name brand franchises. In this case, taking 20th Century’s biggest family franchises under their banner. I can’t wait for the Disneyfied Sound of Music or King and I. |

And so are The Lion King 2, Aladdin 2, etc.
Also, there's a difference between TV specials (I loved the Guardians special, but they knew what they were doing and weren't trying to make a feature film). |

Ice Age: Adventures of Buck Wild may have had bad animation but it did have Simon Pegg return.
Noel with Anna Kendrick hss great production values and is fun. Lady and the Tramp looks great. Muppets Haunted Mansion is also fantastic. This Night of the Museum thing looks and sounds cheap. Like the cost of transferring the franchise from one division to another really was high. |

Noelle was mediocre as ****, and it hurt to see Anna Kendrick and Bill Hader wasted in such a pity excuse of a DTV movie. Hope they got paid tons.

![]() It literally sounds like the original writers are not involved either. Kamunrah spoke with the language and cadence of his time in Night of the Museum 2. All the artifacts did in the first three films. In this animated sequel, Kamunrah now uses modern slang and cadences. |

Generic animation aside, this was kinda fun & I imagine it'll keep younger kids quiet for an hour & a quarter. I've certainly seen a lot worse animated spin-offs from movie franchises.
& while he's obviously no Robin Williams, I thought Thomas Lennon did a great job as Teddy Roosevelt. Jack Whitehall taking over from Steve Coogan though? Not so much. ![]() |
