Just finished going through all my DVDs (I think all of them) and put them in with the Blu-Rays. I kind of wish I hadn't sold a huge lot of them now, as its quite fun going through them all and converting them to Dual Play sets.
Some films I put the sequels in with the original film as they are not out on Blu-Ray yet. |

I like the Alternate Version option! I plan on doing that too, but I need to import some 4-Disc and 6-Disc cases before I can. I'd like to get my 4-Disc Dawn of the Dead DVD into the UK Blu-Ray lol Can only do it with an Elite case though.
Like your say on your blog, I keep the inserts and covers too, I just put them in a clear-file. |

I've sold and resold my entire DVD collection several times now. The first sell-out was particularly painful, especially since I never took any photos of "The Wall". I had them stacked in alphabetical columns from the floor up along the back wall of our living room in the townhouse.
I knew I had a problem when I realized the never-seen DVDs outnumbered the seen ones. I decided that selling everything was the only option, so I did so over the course of a couple months at various flea markets. I became fairly well-known in Brisbane markets during that time, due to my insanely low prices, vast knowledge of my collection and variety of titles. |

I sometimes wish I hadn't sold about 400 of my dvd's. I bought my 1st dvd player at the end of 1999 for $1000, with money I had earnt at my 1st job after finishing year 12 a couple of months earlier. Most of my dvd collection was purchased within the 1st 5 years of dvd hitting the market, and on average cost me $25-$35 per movie, which is over $10000. When I sold them I got just under $1000 for them, which isn't much considering what I paid. I probably should have just kept them. Currently I've got about 120 dvd's that I now own on blu-ray sitting in a cupboard, and I'm still deciding whether I should sell them or not. Though since I sold off the other 400 I feel that it doesn't really matter if I sell off the rest now. For the most part, I look at it like movies depreciating in value is no different to most other things that we buy, almost everything loses value, it's just a part of life.

Hell yeah, been hearing some good stuff.. trying not to read to much about it though.
I'm going to merge this though with the new General Banter thread, as it's not about the Blu-Ray, and it does have its own Movie thread: https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=76939 |

sorry, didnt post this in the right place
![]() Every review for Dredd has been a cracker so far, cannot wait. Been a fan of 2000AD since I was a wee kid. Looks like they got it right at last. Didn't mind the Sly Stallone version as a fun sci fi romp, but it just wasn't Judge Dredd. Hopefully this will open the door for more 2000AD movies to be made, Rogue Trooper, Strontium Dog, Button Man etc etc etc, shitloads of material that would make great movies. ![]() |

On the movie front, the new Resident Evil actually looks interesting, I must admit with the exception of the 2nd film, I have quite enjoyed the series thus far, I just hope there are some 2D screenings! |

I've never seen any Resident Evil films either, but the trailer looks fun. I thought it was weird that Milla Jovovich was starring in a suburban flick!
Theatrically, I'm looking forward to seeing 'Looper'. Interesting premise, and both JGL and Bruce Willis are good in my books. |
