What is your most valuable comic?

Currently, my most valuable is Uncanny X-Men #266, the first appearance of Gambit. I do have a new "Most Valuable" on the way, X-Men #1 from 1991, the gatefold cover signed by Jim Lee and Stan Lee and CGC Signature Series graded 9.6. Very happy!

So how much is UXM #266 worth? I don't watch Comic Book Men. But I have that issue. I have a lot of older X-Men various titles though some aren't in the greatest shape.

Ungraded…it looks like its around $75 to $100 depending on condition.

Mine will probably be 2 copies of TMNT #2, one signed by Peter Laird. I also have a couple of trades that are somewhat hard to find, Collected Volume 1 Third Printing was pretty pricey before IDW started releasing the Ultimate Collections. I have that copy signed by Kevin Eastman.

Watchmen Graphitti Designs Hardcover Artist proof edition which has the signature plate and is signed by Dave Gibbons and Alan Moore. It's limited to 100 copies. I have the regular Graphitti Designs hardcover version which is limited to 1000 copies also.

I have the Batman and Justice League 1/30 variants for issue 1 of their new 52 runs. The Batman is climbing towards $100. I also have New Teen Titans #2, and a complete run of Crisis on Infinite Earths.

I had tons of pretty valuable stuff when I was collecting from the mid '80's until around '91. I sold nearly everything off when I bought my first car right after I graduated from high school. The only thing I have left that is really of any value is my hardbound copy of The Dark Knight Returns. I'm not exactly sure what it's worth but I will never sell it anyway. It was given to me by my Mother for my 14th birthday in 1987. She told me that if I ever decided I didn't want it anymore that she would like to have it back, not because she was a comic fan but just because it's such a beautiful book. Unfortunately she passed away from cancer in '05 at the age of 54.
