What the heck, I'll bring a thread back from the dead...
I'm a big thor guy, and unfortunately, I don't have any of the real nice Journey into Mystery stuff... I have a pretty low grade JIM 102 (first appearance of Sif) but other than that, maybe Thor 337 (Beta Ray Bill). on the DC side, I don't know... maybe my Batman 612? So, nothing of real value. #sadtrombone |

About 20+ years ago I picked up a set of Silver Surfer #1-4 as well as an amazing copy of Fantastic Four #48, the first appearance of Galactus and Silver Surfer. I ended up reselling them and making a nice profit but looking back, with the addition of CGC over the years, I could have probably made a lot more having them graded as they were in superb condition.
But valuable could also mean what comics do you have that mean the most to a person. I'd say my set of Dark Knight Returns #1-4 all signed by Frank Miller who is a very rare signer, as well a complete run of Amazing Spider-Man #298-328 all signed by Todd McFarlane and some others spread throughout my boxes of comics. |

I don't really have any comics that are worth much so it's more of a personal value thing.
Green Lantern 50th Anniversary Issue because it's autographed by Mart Nodell, creator of Green Lantern. The Uncanny X-Men #149 & #150 because they're X-Men and the oldest comics I have (even though they're only early 80's). Big Trouble in Little China #1 with a limited variant cover by Tyler Stout, BTiLC is my favorite film of all time so I'm eating up the new comics and this had some wicked cool custom art. And finally, Lobsterman #1, Maine's first superhero! Because, well, I'm from Maine and it was a locally produced comic back in the early 90's. |

My collection is in constant flux so my "most valuable" tends to change because if something spikes, I'll usually sell it off on ebay. lol
In the past year I've sold off two New Mutants 98's....just sold my Alias #1 (bought that off the shelf for $2 and sold it for $100!), also sold my Amazing Spider-Man #300 among others. I still have things like the original B&W 3 issue Comico GRENDEL series, Caliber Presents #1 (first appearance of The Crow), Batman #357 (first Killer Croc & Jason Todd) etc. |

To me it is a little funny...while I like that it has both their debuts, to me as a fan of comics Jason Todd is the more important of the two. But, with Suicide Squad's movie coming out, apparently this is more key for flippin' Killer Croc now!
