Lol at everyone saying there's too much in this film. Look at Age of Ultron. That has way more in that film. So many new characters and all of the major characters with a decent amount of minor characters.

I will be excited for the Sandman film until David Goyer's name becomes attached.

Make it rated R like Snyder's Watchmen and it could be great. I would love David Fincher to direct and Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross to do the soundtrack. Reznor circa 1994 would have been a great Morpheus too.

If they will just get Idris for Green Lantern then they pretty much just pitched a perfect game.

And if they add Green Arrow and the Flash, I hope they have the sack to give it to the CW guys.

Whedon has proven time after time that he handles an ensemble as good as anyone though.

With all the negativity towards Aquaman for so many years, it's sort of sad that he wont be such a fun character - with Momoa cast (which is awesome casting by the way), this Aquaman is probably going to be the totally dark, violent and bad-ass version. It would be nice to see a balance of the colorful cheesy saturday-morning cartoon version and the bad-ass version. We aint gonna see this movie Aquaman riding a seahorse - he'll be riding some shark or a pirhanna chariot. We ain't gonna see an army of dolphins and whales, it's gonna be just bad-ass sea creatures - sharks, pirhannas, swordfish, electric eels.

And Aquaman costume is gonna be going the same route as Wolverine costume - just hints of color. After a bunch of Justice League films, fans will be biotching about wanting Aquaman to finally wear his trademark flamboyant orange/green costume!

I'm a bit worried about Aquaman's entrance too - the filmmakers will have him first appear stepping out of the water with a necklace of decapitated heads with him all covered in blood and costume ripped up and dirty, all for the sake of pleasing the bros in the audience so that they can say, "whoa dude, Aquaman is totally bad-ass! I thought he was going to be all gay and stuff!"

I'm a Marvel FILM fan compared to DC, but even I can see Aquaman as a pretty idiotic character without any allegiance in play. As a Marvel character it is unlikely that ANYONES opinion of the character would change... even Mr Marvel's opinion. The character is pretty bad despite which publishers banner is waving over its head.

Kevin Smith Confirms Nikki Finke's DC Films Scoop

Last week the internet melted when former Deadline writer Nikki Finke revealed that DC were planning to announce their plans to expand the DC Cinematic universe by announcing Shazam, Sandman, Justice League, Wonder Woman, Flash/Green Lantern team-up and Man of Steel 2 (if you missed it, check it out HERE), and it looks like she was right! Kevin Smith appeared on the SModcast Hollywood Babble-On podcast this week and at the 1 hour 29 minute mark he revealed that he new about the lineup for a while but was unable to say anything!

Shazam/ Captain Marvel or whatever you want to call him, wasn't really written well as a character. This character could have gone into so many different directions with his combination of powers. I'm glad that Marvel decided not to Have Thor turn into Donald Blake. If DC has Shazam turn into Billy Batson (SP) its not going to end well.

I'm not sure why he would even get a movie in the first place. I wonder what the criteria for character selection for the DC Universe ...........SMDH:

I just don't see this universe taking off like they think its going to. I just believe that DC doesn't translate well to the big screen with the exception of Batman. I think the strongest books they put out are the collections that don't connect with the ongoing universe. I was very excited at the first announcment when Snyder used the Dark Knight Returns as his inspiration for Batman v Superman, I thought a Frank Miller driven stories of DC would be great because Miller brought out all the flaws and made them breakable, But that is not what we're getting. I think the animated movies under Timms supervision have been amazing, but were self contained films with one story to tell.
