I was thinking about doing this and selling some of my collection (just no room). I'm a little confused. It looks like you just make a list of movies and bring it to walmart? How do they confirm that you own the movie? Do you have to bring your bluray's into walmart to show proof of purchase? Has anyone done this?

There's also an at home disc-to-digital option for Vudu. It requires a PC with a drive that can read the discs you're using (Blu-ray and/or DVD) plus the software from Vudu. Here's a thread about it: Vudu In-Home Disc to Digital (Beta). One big bonus to using the at home software is that you get 50% off if you add 10 titles or more. That discount isn't available in store.
The only downside is that not every title that's disc-to-digital eligible works with the at home software though. Sometimes the software can't properly read the disc. If that's the case, you'll need to add it to your collection in a store. Here's a thread where people talk about the at home errors and issues: Vudu In-Home D2D discs unidentifiable/errors on D2D program (home-use only) Last edited by bsweetness; 01-05-2015 at 05:26 PM. |

Click on full list at below Vudu Forum post. This person has put the effort in to actually draw up a list of titles. https://forum.vudu.com/showthread.ph...tal-Title-List |

The program is super easy to use, I'm doing my first batch right now. The downside is that you can't add international titles, even if the title is supported for that region (e.g. my Canadian copy of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind won't work). It's also having trouble recognizing my release day copy of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, which really sucks, because that was one of the ones I wanted to convert the most.

And if you do them in SD using D2D, they are 1 buck a piece in batches. Use vudu credits and you'll do them for around .50 cents a piece from home. http://www.vudu.com/disc_to_digital.html https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=224642 |

*Also if you are using a 2 sided disc or a multidisc pack, dont be afraid to flip the disc over and retry vudu's program. I've even had some discs that vudu d2d couldnt read, but it read the title from the bonus/extra disc. (dont ask me why) |

This is awesome and honestly $2 a movie isn't bad.
Looks like I'm coming for Wanted, Adventureland, Doubt, Incredible Hulk, etc. Do I have to actually make the list and print it or can I just bring my movies to the store? I don't have computers in my household. |

Yeah it's a really good deal, I redeemed a total of 10 blu-rays and my price was $20 but because it was more than 10 movies I got 50% off and it bought the total down to $10. i didn't even have to take it in store, I just purchased a blu-ray/dvd optical external drive for around $50 and did it like that because I heard they would have to stamp the inner ring of the disc and since I'm selling the ones I'm adding to vudu I didn't really want them on the disc.

I just did in-store for Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid, Bug, Bite the Bullet and The Fan (1981, Bacall/Biehn/Garner). Definitely stoked to see all of these in 1080p, with all unreleased on Blu-ray save for Bullet on Twilight Time (certainly given the choice $2 beats $35, especially for a movie I've not seen (I never could bear to watch the DVD I got a few years ago, with it being pan-and-scan).

My local Wal-Mart has never stamped my discs, but then I usually walk them through the process, I seem to be more familiar with it than they are.
Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid in 1080p projected, even if it's the bastard Seydor cut, is a treat. |
