It looked like they had some pretty great prices too. Just browsing around quick, I was impressed by the catalog and prices. If I didn't have a million birthdays coming up, and hailstorm of releases coming out in the next couple months, my order would've been a lot bigger. I definitely plan o using them again.

The shipping was a bit much, but totally understandable with how far I am. I just wish it wasn't the same fee per item, regardless of how many I buy. Otherwise I'd be more tempted to load my cart up.

I noticed that on check-out . Oh well, at least I don't have to worry about having the money allotted for it later.

Yeah that's the way I look at it. I have ordered the limited edition using Paypal now while I have the money, and it's paid for and out of the way. Looking forward to this one.

Pre-ordered the limited-edition Blob collection, I like the art better on that one plus it has all three films even though Son of Blob is in SD.

I'm really looking forward to getting Son of Blob ("I don't cut hair, I sculpt it. You want a hair sculpt?!") -- I'll check out the SD rendering, and if I'm unhappy, I'll grab the BD release of it from the US and throw that in the box. It's the remake I want this for, but the collector set is too good to pass up.

BTW: Anyone know where to get a pink replacement case?

You're best option might be to track down a film on ebay that originally came with one..

Umbrella needs to get on top of the distribution of their new release titles. Often their new releases aren't out on time.

Not here, no. Tried yesterday, and again today (impatient bugger that I am!) and just got a disingenuous, "It's not due out till Wednesday! We never put them out till day of release!"

(To which I wanted to reply, "Oh really? How long have you worked at JB?")

Just got a phone call from my own stock-manager mate-at-JB [

] to say stock is in, but Umbrella issued a specific embargo on it being sold before the 2nd.

Oh well, one more sleep ...

According to JB's database, only 4 stores in NSW have got their stock (other stores may have received theirs but were too lazy to process them today), 2 in the Newcastle area, Tamworth, and Macarthur Square. I just spoke to a DVD staff member at Macarthur, and they confirmed that both versions are on the shelf for sale. So if anyone lives near there, you can pick up a copy from there on the way home.

Edit: Correction, only 2 stores in the Newcastle area received their stock today, not 3. The other rural store was Tamworth.

Also, for the region A and C folks, The Blob 1988 disc is region free. I haven't tested the 1958 version yet.
