600 bucks for msrp, 300 for the whole thing and that's on sale! Screw that, the first half of season one was really good, but not that good! |

Not sure which ones you have but all Aniplex titles are around this price based on the episode count. Magi on blu-ray is one of the cheaper ones given that it is a complete season. Most 13 episode sets or seasons are roughly $130- $140. They just released the first complete season of SAO for $160 and Gurren Lagann comes out in August for $150.

Mostly likely it will go out of print before it ever goes on sale. Just how Aniplex operates. So if you wanna wait just be prepared to be SOL.

Best Buy or Amazon will not sell them. Only way you would find them on Amazon would be from third party sellers for more than MSRP. I can also guarantee they will not go on sale this holiday season.

I thought the Magi sets were a bargain already considering AoA usual pricing.

Unfortunately, big retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, and the like do not carry Aniplex products. I'm not sure if it's because they refuse to from a price standpoint, or because Aniplex doesn't want their releases to be sold at mass market retail, but it is what it is. RightStuf is your best bet for their stuff. And in addition to marking things up way beyond what they should ever cost, Aniplex of America does not ever really put them on sale or discount, either. And their print runs are limited, so if you don't buy a product within a year of its release there's a good chance it'll be gone forever. There's a reason why they're hated by many in the anime community.
