There's going to be a Fathom screening of Perfect Blue on Thursday September 7th (subbed) and Monday September 10th (dubbed)

Hopefully that's a sign that a domestic BD is imminent

My first guess is that GKIDS has it, considering how often they work with Fathom Events and their expressed interest for it in the past.

If referring to the anime from 87?
Discotek recently released Wicked City on DVD only. When I asked about HD, I was told basically it wasn’t available.

I remember watching this late at night when The Movie Channel would air Manga and Urban Vision anime at night.

Anime Ltd (UK) mentioned a while ago they'd be releasing an 'ultimate edition' with a brand new remaster. While their releases are always region locked, perhaps it will encourage someone in NA to get their arse in gear and get a hold of this version?

I contacted Fathom, and they confirmed it's coming from GKIDS!

Hopefully a US Blu Ray release is for sure to follow! If we can get remastered Tokyo Godfathers and Paprika along with an English friendly release (I can’t comment on the quality) of Millenium Actress than I’ll be one happy camper!

They also own Millennium Actress and it'll get a theatrical release fall of next year... at least according to Wikipedia, and the line which states it has no source. I'm inclined to believe it now that it's confirmed GKIDS has Perfect Blue, but it may not be true.

When you say "it's coming," do you mean a blu-ray release or just a theatrical one? This film is my #1 most wanted title on blu. (edit: #2)
