Funi first announced they’d picked up 2199 and 2202 in November 2017. It going OOP five years later to the month makes me agree that it’s probably a license expiration, but I could be wrong.

Seems to be OOP everywhere, even Amazon UK, there are a few on ebay for reasonable prices.

If the secondary market pricing is pretty bad, you can always fall back on the JP BDs.

They all have English subtitles, is region A, and I see the full season LE set regularly going for around 8-9K yen ($58).

Note this only applies to 2199 and only to the singles, two movies (Voyage to Remember and Odyssey of the Celestial Arc), and 2017 box set. Neither the 2021 box set or anything from 2202 (that’s confusing) or 2205 have any English on them.

Thanks for providing the clarification and additional detail.

I actually was only thinking of the 2199 singles (since the Funimation 2202 set isn't OOP yet) when I made the post, as those are cheaper to buy than the box set, but your post should help eliminate any potential mistakes in purchases.

It certainly is very easy to buy the wrong set so always do your research beforehand when buying international sets.

The UK version is on the US Amazon for $34.

I ordered a copy from RACS of 2199 and 2202, I feel better having not missed out on this before it was too late.
