What about compression-wise? I feel like German discs are more often superior in terms of compression and allocated bytes, but if they’re pretty much identical in this regard, then the Australian edition is far easier and cheaper to get a hold of.

Nameless are known for scrubbing masters clean of grain, then digitally sharpening and re-graining them in order to artificially making them look sharper. I keep away from their releases whereever I can.

Does anyone know why this went out of print so fast? Was it a limited run or something? I remember trying to get it around 2019 and it seemed to be gone off the market.

License expired and Umbrella couldn't renew for whatever reason.

Wasn't mentioned here before but the Australian disc was mono. The German disc wasn't. Either way, a real remaster would best either of them!

Not sure when pre-orders were possible, but the mediabook with the US artwork already sold out (333 copies), earlier today it was still available, so I just pre-ordered the mediabook with the alternative artwork (500 copies), which looked better to me anyway. Certainly not a fan of the German artwork because of the German title.
