![]() ...if it's MA but added via " redeem (eCopy, InstaWatch), or convert (Disc to Digital)" will it still port to other providers though is the question? |

What would really be great is if Vudu would create their own family/friend sharing system so we wouldn't have to worry about uv or ma or any other new thing a studio might feel like throwing out in the future. I see people keep talking about whether digital might take over and personally I don't see that happening with how fickle the studios and digital retailers are it has made digital movie collecting a frustrating confusing mess.

I believe they will continue to share because they were already purchased/owned so they are already in the shared accounts.

The FOX movies are still giving UV status at the moment. I converted quite a few and they are in my UV library.

Question is...what happens to UV status to existing titles after the change?
Let's say you added a title via D2D a year ago in Vudu Account A and it flowed to Vudu Account B via UV...will it still be in Account B after tomorrow or will it be removed? Also, I get the impression from reading that post that D2D will STILL be available for Fox titles, they just won't receive UV status. Lots of questions and the thread at Vudu is closed with Fox's email clearly posted...guess Vudu doesn't want any part of the discussion on this. |

For instance, last year, my cousin's iTunes purchases were accidentally given UV licenses and ported to my account (and mine to his, etc.). VUDU went in and deleted his FROM my UV account, and then deleted them from my VUDU account. I had my MA account disconnected from VUDU (due to issues) while they were deleted from my VUDU account, so they stayed on MA. Sometime later, I reconnected my VUDU account to MA, and they were re-added to my VUDU account. Due to a issue, I disconnected my VUDU from my UV account, and when I reconnected it, it deleted all these titles on all the services, even though they still show up in my transaction history (MA, VUDU, etc.). Interestingly enough, those titles are still present in my FandangoNow account, though they obviously won't port to MA. Last edited by Alan Gordon; 07-11-2018 at 02:09 AM. |

I wondered when this would be happening. I redeemed an old Fox code the other day and I noticed the FoxRedeem.com webpage ONLY gave an option for MA. No Vudu, no iTunes (which is what I really wanted). My main wonder now is if the d2d/m2d program is still going to be able to continue since it seemed specifically tied to titles that had UV rights only...
Also does anyone happen to have a list of Fox titles that are currently eligible? I feel like the different sheets I've seen don't seem to list distributor (feel free to PM me please if this isn't a publicly allowed convo) |
