movies (at different qualities 4k/hd/sd) you own in UV, but not available at vudu

so with the fox removing uv from any future vudu purchases, uv was dealt with another blow.

imagine if you own some fox movies (with qualities sd/hd) in UV locker, but the title or higher quality is not available at vudu. I don't think there is such title existed from fox, but I could be wrong. even if the fox movie or higher quality is abailable in vudu in a future day, you will not get it.

in my case, I own a couple WB movies in HD in my UV locker, but vudu only has them in SD. I would have lost the HD rights of those movies if WB decides to follow suite.


what are some of your titles that you own in UV locker but not available in VUDU?

I have a handful. However, none are fox movies.

The Opposite of Sex is the only one I can think of off the top of my head

If you created a Movies Anywhere account prior to the changeover, you should have HD rights in MA which will push to Vudu when available.

Ma will not know that you have be rights unless its avalable in vudu.

If you have a fox movie in hd in uv locker but the movie is only available in sd in vudu today, you would have already lost the hd right. You will not get hd even of vudu offers it in the future. Fox movies are no longer uv on vudu

If you own it in UHD/HD at iTunes, Amazon, FandangoNow, and/or Google Play then it will record UHD/HD rights in MA. Vudu is not the only digital retailer out there in the US.

You're mostly right; however, the only one of those sites that would also give UV would've been FandangoNow. It was maybe a Flixster redeem which would then not give the HD MA rights. Can't think of any movies that would apply to though. I'd think probably from FN which would have the HD MA rights (if the movie is MA)

Flixster. Cinemanow. Was Target Ticket also another one? They all did UV.

My aforementioned movie, The Opposite of Sex, has HD rights in my account and there isn't even an HD master available at all. Anywhere.

If Vudu never gets an HD copy before UV goes kaput, it's wasted money.

But we are talking about uv rights here. Not ma or ma providers.
