I have the UK Collector`s Edition that came out last year with the art cards and poster. The blu-ray is, I think, a port of the US release so nothing new there. But, the UK release also comes with a dvd that has what is listed as Japanese 2.0. Would that audio track be the same as the Original Theatrical Dolby Stereo Mix as heard in that video, if you know?

Nope. The only releases with the original 1988 sound mix are the 2008 Bandai JP/US BD and the old Manga UK BD of it (the Steelbook too). But those are windowboxed, sadly.

The 2.0 track on the DVD is probably the original mix, but you could check by comparing the music.

Truth be told, I'm not a fan of the movie either, but I'll gladly support an English subtitled Dynit BD. Hope it paves the way for more BDs from the Sony catalog.

Nice, if only Dynit could add the French subtitles to that release as well It would be an instabuy for me, unfortunatly I don't think it will be the case, even if Sony allowed Funimation to add them ( + dub) to their release.
Oh well I can wait 20 more years for a potential release from Dybex lol...
