You're right. If this movie doesn't perform well, then there's a high chance that Blufans won't release it. It sux if that's the case. I think this movie will go nicely with the GITS release.

Thanks! Just bought my tickets. I'm still debating whether or not to go see Gundam Narrative dubbed.

Just finished watching I want to eat your pancreas, and I loved it. Great (emotional) story, great characters, beautiful production design, and great animation as well. I'll buy multiple premium releases of this title for sure.

I like it much better than A silent voice and Mirai. The story is emotional, but not to the same level with Grave of the fireflies. Grave of the fireflies is too depressing, but I want to eat your pancreas is more uplifting and encouraging. 5 out of 5 from me.

[Show spoiler]The twist at the end was a surprise. I didn't expect her to go out that way. I'm not sure if I like the cause of her death, but what matters the most is the impact she made on others surrounded her. I'm glad they extended the film to the point we see the big change in the main guy in action, not just in his thoughts.

From Aniplex. (Not sure if you're one of those people who hate them or love them, so I'm just saying who's distributing it.)

Ah, I'll buy it. Aniplex or not. I hate their prices, but I love their shows. I guess I'm in between. If their prices were reasonable, I would have owned every shows they released so far; but since their prices were too high, I just had to be more selective and only buy what I think was worth it. And I'm telling you, this movie is worth it.

I'm ecstatic that it will be an Aniplex release. Day 1 pre-order for me - from Rightstuf, and NOT from TOM.

I don't understand why you can't wait four months to save $20.

I just finished watching Alita, and I liked it a lot more than the GITS live action one. GITS doesn't deserve a second view, but Alita is a lot of fun and deserves multiple views.

Another film that I will buy multiple premium releases for sure.

Indeed. I hope it does well enough so that we get the obviously intended sequel.

Just got back from my 2nd viewing of the film.

Enjoyed it even more this 2nd time around, I was able to watch the movie and not just be awed by it,
and I was able to pay more attention to dialog, and character development.

I like Hugo more this time around and his affect on Alita's character development.

There were some little things said to Alita early on that later on you see the effect of those words
in her development.

I can't quote the dialog, I just perked up and noticed it as it happened this 2nd time around

Just got back. Loved it. Definitely need to see it again. Alita is such a great character. So full of life and curious. I actually liked Hugo more than I thought I would. The romance was less cheesy than I thought it would be too. Such an interesting world. Praying for a sequel.

Time to go read the manga.

I'm heading out here in about an hour, gotta run to the VA Hosp. to pick something up.
Will be heading to the theater after that to catch the 11am showing for a 3rd viewing!

Oh..
I've been watching a couple of "Box office breakdown" reviews on line, and they are fairly certain
that when the Worldwide total is factored in it will of made enough money to justify a squeal.

Naysayers love to just quote the domestic box office, which by the way, is almost double what it was predicted to be.
Word of mouth is catching on, and people are also going back for multiple viewings..

Back from my 3rd viewing of Alita: Battle Angel, man still enjoyed it just like I did the 1st time.
I don't think watching this will ever get old!

On a side note: Look what some dude from the UK I've never heard of before sent me in a PM

Again, no disrespect meant and love your enthusiasm for Alita
