Vudu/UV Question - Blu-ray Forum

I recently decided to open up my blus that have been sitting on my shelf forever and test out old UV codes. When i go to Vudu redeem it has an error but when I click on digital copy it works. This kind of makes sense for the codes that use the same code for itunes and UV but it's the same for clearly separated codes. What have i missed the past couple of years?

VUDU redeem is for VUDU specific codes sometimes found in WM releases and for VUDU credits. Digital Redeem is for regular studio codes, which seems is what you have.

Okay, hmmm is that a new thing cause I don't remember that from before. You just entered a code and it went from there last time I did it. So if i were to trade/sell these code and someone redeemed everything would check out correct?

I also have a bunch of itunes digital copy transfers. Is there a market for these or are they just a waste at this point?

Those won't have much of a market; they are SD-only now, but you could always list them and see if you have HD ones too.

SD codes redeem SD in iTunes, only HD redemptions are upgraded to 4K if qualified.

If the digital codes require you to insert a disc in order to redeem, then they will redeem as SD, otherwise they would redeem as HD and in which case would automatically be upgraded to 4K if the titles is available in 4K on iTunes.
