New Line has a perfect chance now to fill the gap that will be left by IT after Chapter 2, next to Blumhouse they're the best studio in the genre so they should start making new Elm Streets alongside Conjuring-universe films for an impressive horror lineup.
Paramount spent a lot of the past decade trying to make a new Friday the 13th, which never came to fruition, and at this point it's probably done unless another studio gets the rights. |

Many Dracula, Frankenstein, and Mummy movies were made over the last century. I have no problem with Michael Meyers and similar movie characters (Freddy, Jason, etc.) having different adaptations/interpretations as time moves on. The originals will always be there.

I so wish they would've listen to Carpenter after the first film. Now even he wants more sequels. It was simplistic and perfect as it was. Sometimes evil just is, always has been, always will. No explanation through childhood experiences, socioeconomics, it just is and it will never die. Simple easy to understand and disturbing. Message received after one movie.

It was only obvious no way would Blumhouse miss out on all them tickets due to limited capacity cinemas
I also think the 2018 movie was helped by that fact it was released on Halloween for like the first time in years for this franchise lol not August, not July but OCTOBER the month this franchise was built for so I think that’s why they don’t wanna take a chance and release it somewhere around Easter or summer etc It’s a shit situation all round the franchise finally got a fresh kickstart and strong legs I hope people are still interested to come back again and kills does at last 70% of what the 2018 movie did at the box office. |

All you can do is take an approach that respects its audience and give it some care and attention the 2018 movie did that imo and it was a success The 2018 movies spin was different in that it was a direct sequel to the events of 1978 and just that you might not like that but it was a fresh spin for a sequel And then Rob zombie tried something drastically different with his H2 and it was a disappointment |
