Can't give updates if you don't have the license or can't say anything because you're not yet allowed to say anything while negotiations are ongoing. If they have something new, they'll tell us when they're able to.

Still weird The Scarlet Bullet hasn't been sold digitally. It was originally promoted to have an English theatrical release but there were still lockdowns at the time? Planned to premiere at a convention but then randomly canceled...

Unless TMS USA wants the newest movie to take priority no good reason to shelve a BD release for The Scarlet Bullet from Discotek if it's already translated and dubbed.

Man, conan just kind of dropped off. Thies shows first few seasons are everywhere--Crunchyroll, tubi, prime, and more but again sub only.

They really need to fix the dubs copywrite troubles and release the dub version or a new dub!

Again, like dubs or not it brings in new fans on sites like netflix. This show needs a dub.

So, you got the tens of millions of dollars it would take to dub a franchise that consistently underperformed for FUNimation outside of the movies, and is now 1,000+ episodes long with no end in sight? It was not making money for FUNimation, so they never licensed more, and nobody is going to bite to release the rest on disc. The most you can hope for outside of more of the movies coming over is for everything before the first episode Crunchyroll simulcasted to get legal subbed-only streams, but even that will be quite the investment in resources.

I love Detective Conan but there is just no way. Too many episodes. I'm happy we are seeing literally anything from the franchise via Discotek.

discotek have taken lot series so guessing will get random release of Detective Conan every so often , hopefully includes old movies as well as new

Ideally the older movies because these new ones aren't doing it for me. Hate to say it but I'd rather rent them via Prime Video than spend the money for a blind buy physically.

Yeah, I'm not really into Detective Conan, but even I'd get the first few movies if Discotek released them; I'm a big fan of cel animation, and I like the feel of 80s and 90s stuff. Feel like the earliest movies would be more worth my time, too.

Japanese kanji credits (untouched), post credits scene or next movie preview, then a separate English credit roll afterward

Creditless ending sometimes included as an extra

If you don't count Zero's Tea Time and The Culprit Hanzawa the last title to get dubbed and released on Blu-ray was the Lupin vs Conan TV Special.

Scarlet Bullet supposedly is dubbed but not screened at cons and not available for digital rental last I checked.

The Bride of Halloween is likely the next project that will be focused on unless there are other things we're not privy to.

Don't know how likely it is but TMS might've burned a lot of money hoping for a world wide theatrical release for The Scarlet Bullet (as early trailers hinted such plans) buying screenings but then COVID happened and theatres closed.

You would assume theatres would give the money back but they went through long periods of zero income and might've lawyered up to try and keep the existing deal(s) in place.

Unrelated but a similar issue happened when Cineworld originally planned to buy Cineplex up here in Canada but then when lockdowns happened and it was looking like a horrible investment the deal was off and legal battles happened with Cineworld having to pay a large sum to Cineplex in the end.

We recently had two Conan specials dubbed on netflix with the same voice cast, that's about it.
