..thanks for the above link to that review..it appears that this blu-ray release even has all 8 tracks from an LP called ''William Castle's Ghost Story'' included as an extra..it seems this LP was issued at the time of the show's original release..looking forward to receiving this together with When Worlds Collide.....

I’ve had this blu-ray set pre-ordered from Deep Discount since late June, and not only have I still not received it, but Deep Discount seems to have removed the option of searching your past orders by order number. I was using the site as a guest back then, so it doesn’t show up in my order history, but a few weeks ago I was still able to search by order number. It was showing as ‘Backorder’ then; now the Blu ray isn’t even listed on the site. I see there’s a seller on Amazon that has it listed with an availability date of August 26. Fingers crossed that I’ll actually get it from Deep Discount. The pre-order price was great: US$57.85.

The review posted in this thread mentions it too. I checked my Sony MOD DVD release of this set and episode 16 is 4:3 and looks pretty good. Maybe Sony made widescreen versions of each episode and for whatever reason sent that version for only this episode?

This is something I've seen before with Sony, I'm unsure if both 4:3 and 16:9 versions exist in this scenario or only one of the two. Hart to Hart on Amazon Prime in the US has random episodes opened up to 16x9 and others left in 4x3.

Do we think Imprint know about the widescreen episode? Is there anyone in contact with them?

I doubt anything will be done. Sounds like a mix-up in what Sony provided. Happens a few times, as mentioned, also Quantum Leap on iTunes has random 16:9 episodes. I think it's because when they remaster these filmed shows, they tend to do both 4:3 and 16:9 versions for TV sales and sometimes get the odd episode mixed up.
Obviously it shouldn't happen and QC should have picked up and queried this with Sony but I can live with 16:9 for one episode, as it's a lovely set and I noticed on the ones I've viewed so far, they do seem to be roomy. I'm just grateful to own a rare old series looking so good on Blu-ray I suppose. |

Debating where I'm going to get this from. Enjoyed reading the various comments and observations from people in this thread.

I got the one from Amazon UK too. Fulfilled by them despite being 3rd party, so free of any extra customs surprises on top.

I see that Warner are doing a fix on the video issues on their Wonder Woman set. I think in the long term it would work in Imprint's favour to fix this, not just for this release, but for future TV releases. We've seen how labels like Fabulous in the UK can kill their own future product by failing to fix mistakes.
