The Call Me B Your Name team may finally be reuniting as We are hearing Timothee Chalamet and Luca Guadagnino may be reuniting on a new movie and bring Taylor Russell along for the ride. Sources tell Deadline, Chalamet and Russell are in talks to star in Bones & All with Guadagnino directing the pic. Dave Kajganich penned the script. No start date has been set.

Not much is known about the project other then it being a horror-love story revolving around Chalamet and Russell’s characters. The package is already gaining steam as sources add that multiple bidders are interested. [+]

I Am Love and A Bigger Splash are better, though Suspiria might beat ABS by a few pints of blood or a a few broken bones here and there.

Guadagnino is an undeniable stylist, though. Every frame he touches, even if I don't particularly care for it or the story it's serving, becomes a singular visual or aural experience.

Give me blood, sex, savagery, and some more John Adams or Blood Orange (maybe even a little Tangerine Dream... sorry, I'll see myself out) and I'm sold.

And give Chalamet something else to do other than playing the perennial twink everyone falls for. The dude's going to get pigeonholed into being Mr. Peach and he's not even fully matured yet. I can't imagine how exhausting it must be to have to live up to an entire Internet's worth of acolytes, haha.

Casting Update

On lunch break Thursday in the first day of shooting of his first U.S.-set film Bones & All, director Luca Guadagnino talked about seizing the chance to reunite with Call Me By Your Name cohorts Timothée Chalamet and Michael Stuhlbarg, latter of whom he added to cast along with André Holland, Jessica Harper, Chloe Sevigny, Francesca Scorsese (the Guadagnino-created HBO series We Are Who We Are), and David Gordon Green — yes, the Halloween director. They join previously announced Chalamet, Taylor Russell and Mark Rylance.

Any potential Suspiria follow up is dead as dead can be, sadly.

When asked if the sequel is still happening, Guadagnino shot back: “How? How, my dear? The movie made absolutely nothing. It was a disaster at the box office."

I wish more people actually watched We Are Who We Are on HBO so we could maybe get a sequel to that.

It's funny, the only Guadagnino project successful enough to get a sequel made got hit by the Armie Hammer controversy, and now unsurprisingly he's moving away from it.
