What exactly are you basing that on? The Charlie's Angels reboot? The only other feature film she's directed is Pitch Perfect 2, which got solid ratings from audience, and critics.

Elizabeth Banks was so focused on her "post-Me Too women power" PR spin that she forgot she was actually supposed to make a (solid action) movie with the Charlie's Angels reboot, but that doesn't mean that she's a terrible director or should be written off as such.

I have faith in her doing a much better job with Cocaine Bear.

I'd keep an open mind (if you're capable of a such thing) and give her a chance on this one.

I'm basing it on the fact that I've seen both Pitch Perfect 2 and Charlie's Angels. Her direction is lacklustre at best, and I have no faith whatsoever that she's the right person to maximise or even get close to living up to the potential of Cocaine Bear. I hope she proves me wrong though. The trailer will be a huge indicator.

Pitch Perfect 2's success with audiences and critics is all down to the writing and the fantastic chemistry of the cast.

I mean, two movies are hardly enough to really judge someone as a terrible director, or vice-versa in my opinion. Plenty of great directors out there have started out with some average films, but you do you.

Cast is solid. Premise seems too slight to sustain a feature length film. Looks like something that’ll be a hit regardless.

The jumps between high funny bear and murderous rampage bear isn't working for me, but hopefully the movie handles that better. Not sure if I'd check this out in theaters though.

That looks like great mindless fun!!!!! If you are near Lexington KY, the real cocaine bear is in a store that you can take pictures with.

Eeeh, like I get it is what it is, but it feels a little too enamoured with its premise that it kinda feels like it’s not got much else going with it. This would probably be more effective if they played it relatively straight without all the shrieking and fumbling over.

Someone's gonna feed a bear a kg of cocaine just to see what the hell actually happens. A dead bear probably! Ha, exactly what happened apparently.
