The geniuses at Netflix are at it again. Will they reboot Cowboy Bebop as a movie next?

(not really, just The Asylum being The Asylum. They already mocked AoT with Mega Shark vs Kolossus anyway.).

Looks like they put in more effort than those fake Bruce Willis movies at least.

I already felt like Inception a rip off of both The Cell and Paprika anyways. I like Inception, but the lack of originality makes me like it less. Those two films are better IMO.

There’s also Dream Corp LLC that’s pretty similar. Eternal Sunshine Of A Spotless Mind could also count.

Interstellar ripped off Voices of a Distant Star but it did have the advantage of Matt Damon getting blown up.

‘Raya and the Last Dragon’ Director Carlos López Estrada Boards Paramount and Bad Robot’s ‘Your Name’ Remake

Carlos López Estrada has been enlisted by Paramount, Bad Robot and Toho to rewrite and direct the sci-fi anime live action remake “Your Name.” The film is currently in development and is based on the the 2016 animated romantic fantasy drama, considered to be a modern classic in Japan.

López Estrada is writing the current script. The initial version was written by Academy Award-nominated screenwriter Eric Heisserer, who is best known for his work on “Arrival” and “Bird Box.” Bad Robot’s J.J. Abrams will produce the film alongside Hannah Minghella and Jon Cohen, with Genki Kawamura, who produced the original.

Kind of amazes me that they still haven't begun to film it, but these usually end up in development hell. It's been 6 years now, so the iron is going to be very cold when it eventually comes out. Though the movie is going to struggle, the anime is too infused with Japanese culture to translate well into a live-action setting in America (where public transportation also is basically nonexistent, good luck making a train scene).

Looks like a fun dumb movie. I also didn't hate DBE like most people did.

I'd say that the live-action One Piece looked promising.. if it weren't for the fact that Chopper, the Devil Fruit powers and some of the villains will need to be CGI.
