Has anyone’s shipped from ViaVision yet? This is the first preorder of one of their titles I didn’t order directly from them; I went with DeepDiscount.com instead to save on shipping. ViaVision lists a 20/4 release but DD shows 29/4, so I’m not clear on whether the title has officially streeted or not.

I ordered via JB-Hifi and it shipped about one week ago.
But experience shows that it can take up to six weks for standard delivery from Australia to arrive in Germany. |

So I guess 20/4 is legit. Maybe DD bumped their release date out to account for when their stock would arrive from Australia.

Received my copy today. The package is a keep case housed in a slip case. While the slip case is free of a ratings logo on the front cover (the logo is just a sticker on the outer foil), the keep case has the ratings logo printed on the front cover and there is no reversible sleeve.
The discs themselves are as bare bone as it gets. Static menues with just the option to choose an episode or to play all. No pop-up menue is available and the two audio tracks (Dolby Digital 5.1 and LPCM 2.0) have to be switched via the remote control. No subtitles, no bonus material, no trailers for any further releases, nothing. Image quality is as good as can be expected from such a recently produced series, and there are chapter breaks about every five minutes. |

I only just picked this up...this is an upscale, right? It looks soft as hell (including the widescreen bars) and the on-screen text is both soft and aliased. Looks like the source file was maybe 720p at best?
Edit: Huh. Episode 2 is fine. Sharp and clear. For some reason only the first episode is a lower quality? Still annoying. |

Disgusting. Via Vision must know it's a defective product, especially after the screenshots I sent.
I remember back when Deadwood was first released on blu-ray in Australia and the audio was riddled with issues. At least Paramount took ownership of the issue and replaced my discs for free when the audio problems were resolved. |
