Hopefully the CGI in the movie is better than what we get in this trailer. Here it looks awful. But if done well this could actually be a fun and intense movie to see in a theater. I'm sure I'll be doing just that. At the very least it should be entertaining.

The movie description indicates the tower is 2000 feet tall. A very similar tower in Warsaw was perhaps the inspiration -- it stood 2272 feet before it collapsed in high winds. It had 5 sets of guy wires. I didn't see any in the trailer but maybe they hadn't been added to the CGI yet or they blended into the background.

I will watch this when HDTGM reviews it. I think there is a strong chance they do this but it will not best Moonfall. |

No it doesn't at all.
I think I would get sick just watching that movie though because I'm not one for Heights. I might have to take something before watching it. |

Yep, with some strong 3D this one could be great.
Unfortunately, using Shang Chi as an example (characters look down from some scaffolding alongside a skyscraper), modern 3D films really dial down the depth on height shots to, presumably, shield the audience from vertigo. If only they understood that giving the audience the same perilous visuals that the characters see draws viewers into the film, and puts butts into seats. On the trailer, what is their motivation for climbing the tower? It shows too much of the plot, which I don't like but so many trailers do nowadays, but it shows very little of the premise. |

Yeah this looks good and would have been AMAZING in 3D but it's a long time since we got a low budget horror/ thriller in 3D. I'll still check it out as this trailer makes it look a lot better and the green screen/ compositing looks surprisingly strong.

It still gets me that 3D nowadays is a multimillion dollar affair. I could understand the fee for a conversion like Titanic, where each frame had to be edited by hand, but with modern films that are largely CGI anyhow, why do they have to be post converted rather than the CGI studios rendering the scenes natively with a second camera? |
