DiabolikDVD has had most, if not all of the Imprint releases for sale on their site.

I definitely want to get the Emma Peel seasons on BD but now I don't know if I should go for the UK BD sets from StudioCanal, which would cost me basically a third what the Imprint sets. I really dislike the Imprint prices and usually for a movie I don't mind, but here, again, it's three times more.
Do the UK sets still come with a slipcase?
I got series 5 from Amazon in July and it still came in a slipbox.

I have the gigantic 39 DVD set from Optimum Classic (in the most annoying, disc destroying package designed by any human being ever). I never bought the U.K. blu-rays because of the screen shots I'd seen on-line (including the disappearing umbrella shot above), so I'm hoping this new set isn't just a clone of the U.K. blu-rays.

DiabolikDVD has The Avengers: The Emma Peel Collection (1965-1967) up for pre-order now.

It's highly unlike they are anything but the same for most if not all.

They might have the Network restored 2x Cybernauts episodes which were better picture but with audio screwed up in a different way (boomy). As far as I know, these are the only episodes that have had a more recent restoration, the rest the c.2010 HD restorations still.

There's a potential they might even be worse - if these use off-the-shelf Studiocanal masters, then the audio pitch issues that were corrected for the UK discs might reappear - so they'll run at 24p but the audio would sound the same as PAL speedup (as with the US release of the colour Peel episodes).

Are there any shipping deals when you order directly from Imprint? Such as free world shipping at a certain price threshold. I know indicator allowed free world shipping if you purchased $250 worth.

You have to check their website but I wouldn't count on it. If you are ordering from another country you should get the GST deducted from the Australian price, that is 10% off. I don't know whether you'll be taxed by your country since I don't know your location so it might still work out the same or worse.

I'd pay way too much if someone did a release of the complete series without any issues.

Never gonna happen. The series is known to be cursed on home media!

I imagine the Imprint releases will be direct ports of the Studio Canal sets. As far as I know, Imprint always uses existing transfers and only adds the occasional new commentary track and featurette as a selling point.

Breakdown was the first release to utilise the new 4K transfer, and there's been others. But yeah ultimately it was whatever the studio gave them at the time.

I added it to my cart and the total came to $157.23 ($30.11 shipping to US).

What region is this?

Anybody have this yet? Hoping to find out if Imprint's encode is better than StudioCanal's.

The packaging is limited to 1,500 copies. I may just wait in case there's something less awesome/expensive later.

I have the UK BD set and noted no issues during playback. Sometimes this place can be as much a hinderance to enjoyment then a benefit. Especially, when things are pointed out that most likely wouldn't even notice. Unfortunately, once engrained in the brain they can be hard to forget or ignore. I'm glad I never sought out any reviews where these items were noted.
