Default Top Gun 2

there is talk of a top gun2 coming out what do you guys think of that??

http://www.aintitcool.com/node/37579

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage...cle1448779.ece

TOM CRUISE has been asked to dust off his aviator shades for a Top Gun sequel.

Movie bosses want to bring back cocky fighter-pilot trainee Maverick 22 years after the first film.

The move follows hit sequels to the adventures of fellow ’80s heroes Indiana Jones and Rocky.

A script outline has been written, but the sequel depends on Cruise, 46, saying yes.

An insider said: “The idea is Maverick is at the Top Gun school as an instructor — and this time it is he who has to deal with a cocky new female pilot.”

Goose is turning over in his grave.

Here's a thread with a lot of discussion on this:

Top Gun was pure crap , they can only make it better with a sequel.

As far as Cruise is concerned, he is all over the place especially around or because of the Oprah sequel.

As far as the Sequels being out of date....Terminator2 comes to mind. Glad they did it, and cant wait for T4 with Batman as the Terminator Killer.

I say let them make it, if its junk hopefully the sales will reflect it, but if its good, then we have another Movie set to add to the collection

I'm afraid soon there will be no new movies, only sequels, prequels and reboots. I sure hope this one won't fly. If it doesm well, whatever, nobody's forcing me to see it anyway.

But I think that Goose turned over a long time ago with all of Tommie's recent acts of insanity.

But please people....can we stop making new threads about this so-called Top Gun 2????

I also love Top Gun, but it is not the kind of movie that needs a sequel.

Oh I agree with ^

I really don't know how they could make a sequal that would make sense with the current world order. The first movie was a masterpiece.

Hollywood please leave it alone!

Kthnx

Shit, i will go see anything he makes; and top gun 2 sounds ok.
Some of his most recent work is flopping and he is getting pissed as a result. His A list membership may be over... I would personally love to see this as his off camera antics are making me want to see his movies even less.

War of the Worlds was just crap. The special effects were good, but the story line was nothing compared to the other renderings, sorry. I felt Tom "overacted" his part. I was not impressed.

Lions to Lambs was totally shunned at the box office. Even with an all star cast, I cannot even bring myself ot put it in my netflix queue. No interest.

It may be a dip in his long career, he may bounce back with Valkyrie and I hear there is an MI:4 in the works. We will see.

But a Top Gun 2, wow that could be a career nose dive in the making.

Yay! Another Mission Impossible where we get to see Ethan Hunt rescue yet another female in distress while going after another generic bad guy!! I loved Mission Impossible but 2 and 3 were balls.....except for Phillip Seymour Hoffman in 3 who is always brilliant.

It wouldn't surprise me, his career and his public image is in desperate need of CPR.

I'm sure it will be in 3D which could be cool.

Not sure who I'd cast. Val Kylmer is a fatty now but it would be cool for him and Cruise to have cameos, Reading Rainbow guy should come back as well

For the love of god please actually use an attractive woman this time for the main girl.

I will only watch this if Tom Cruise, Val Kilmer, and Anthony Edwards return in their original roles (of course Edwards would play the Ghost of Goose that haunts Maverick's dreams).

Loggins must do the soundtrack also!
