Annnnnnnnd it arrived totally damaged. Looks like the USPS gave the tube to a dog before delivering it. Trying to see if Disney will mail me a replacement.

*sighs*

Are they still using cheap flimsy tubes and basically just tossing the poster in the tube with no protection on the sides against shifting? Were the end caps taped down at least? Good luck getting a replacement, I am sure they will do that but I don't think anyone is surprised it arrived damaged, that's pretty much standard for DMR.

YES to everything you said...thin tube...bare poster in it. Actually, no tape on the ends, I believe. VERY frustrating. So much of the internet is based on mail order sales and like 90% of these places pack TERRIBLY. Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Shutterfly...Disney Rewards...WTF people? I'll PAY for better shipping. lol When you can't get things in stores and can't get them via mail in the expected new condition, it is just a lose/lose situation.

While you and I butted heads in the past, I stand in agreement with everything you said. I have been shipping posters worldwide for 25 years if I packaged and shipped them out like DMR, I'd be out of business. The problem with companies like them is A) they don't care, and B) they won't listen. To them they think kids are just going to tack the poster on the wall. They don't understand the rarity of thee posters and how collectible they are (especially Disney titles), trust me on that. I am going to make another attempt to speak to them because so many collectors such as yourself are redeeming your hard earned points for posters, and you expect, as you rightfully should, receive them in near-mint/mint condition. Would they ship one of their porcelain dolls like that? Absolutely not. When it comes to posters, they seem to think tossing it in a tube is enough, when time and time again it's been proven that it's not.

If they simply got it right the first time, they would not have unhappy customers, complaints would decrease significantly, the hesitation to order from them again, would decrease as well, they would not have to ship yet another poster out, which will more than likely be damaged again, which requires them to pay shipping a second time, the supplies they use, the employee's time they pay to package another, etc. It's a complete waste.

Hopefully your replacement arrives in better condition. I had read hundreds of posts on this site and others about people's posters arriving in crappy damaged condition. Keep us posted on what happens with the replacement.

Naturally, despite all my rants and raves, they only mentioned that my photos validated that I received a damaged item and they're sending me out another one. I pray that it comes in-tact! I have had things arrive just fine before, so fingers crossed.

Hell, I mean I'd pay the Priority USPS price to have it...I don't get why you just can't even have the option.

You mean they didn't try to put the blame on the carrier? That is what I have heard they tend to do rather than blame themselves for improper packaging, etc. Hopefully the replacement arrives in much better shape.

It will be interesting to see how the replacement copy will be, my guess is their packaging will remain the same, and they probably can't seem to realize all of the complaints they get when it comes to their posters, perhaps if they thought about it, they would do something to fix it.

That is the final style, my guess is the club will offer them up sometime in December, perhaps closer to the release of the film or after.

Received my replacement and.....DAMAGED. I went off on them via email, not that it'll get me anywhere. But, I don't get the point of a rewards program where the customer spends cash on a company's products, saves their points and then cashes them in to receive damaged items 99% of the time. I told them I'd sooner stop buying their movies for the points and just purchase the poster outright from someone who'd ship it better via ebay.

Sorry to hear the replacement was damaged but ultimately it isn't surprising. DMR simply hasn't learned not will they more than likely. Rather than getting things right the first time, they are content with sending posters out multiple times, refunding points, and having upset customers. Not really a way to run a business, if I shipped my posters to my customers like they do, I'd be out of business.

I spoke with Penny over on their facebook page and she is sending me out yet another. I just looked at the Force awakens poster I'd gotten a month or so ago and that was damaged too...they're sending me another one of them.

The law of averages worked and with all these damaged ones, the Rogue One payoff poster arrived to me perfectly. lol

Cool, glad at least you got one that was perfect condition. The problem though is if they simply got it right the first time, just think how many posters that they would not have to ship out as replacements, and thus, even more people could then get them or perhaps they would be available longer. One day the club will figure this out.

And the saga continues....lol

Out of The Force Awakens, the beach Rogue One teaser and this final Rogue One poster, THIS was the one that arrived more or less perfect. So naturally, when I received my replacement for the beach teaser today I was hype!

Only...they sent me a 2nd copy of the poster above. lol So now I have two fairly perfect copies of this one and none of the beach teaser. I contacted Penny again on Facebook to see what'll happen now.

My Teaser 2 arrived damaged as well. I only contacted them today about it (it took longer to ship up here). Upon opening the tube, it was rolled / unrolled diagonally, so that the entire side corner is damaged from hitting the bottom of the tube for around 8-10 inches. As far as I know, there are no replacements, so I will order the Final Art one if I get my points refunded. A 2 cent plastic poster bag and 10 cents of bubblewrap at the top/bottom would probably solve 95% of these damages.

You may want to try the DMR page on facebook. I found them to be incredibly helpful and ended up getting new posters sent to me via there.
