What would you consider to be an affordable price for 10 archival quality sleeves? My research is showing some places selling 20 for $250 plus tax. I could potentially offer them for a much more reasonable cost, just for the few here that may want to buy them from me. It'll be a few more weeks until I get setup before I can make any promises though.
Although this company is located in the UK, they have some good information: https://www.preservationequipment.com/

I'm very cost conscious (i.e. really cheap!)- most of my posters are newer films and were acquired for $1-5 each, therefore I'm looking at possibly several archival boxes (with archival tissue paper between posters- as well as archival cardboard as 'dividers' every 10 or so posters). I'll hopefully find an inexpensive flat file at some point. I'm looking at a couple of dollars each for sleeves/pockets. Bags unlimited sells "One Sheet Poster Sleeve. 27-5/8 x 43". 2 mil Polyethylene. No flap." for around $1.50 when ordering 100.

That's not to say I won't be much more careful with valuable posters.... I'll spend more for a higher quality Mylar/Melinex pocket...but I only have a few that are rare/older.

Polyethylene
I'll stick with Polyethylene Terephthalate (Mylar; ie, polyester)

For anyone else, this stuff is 50% thicker than 2 mil for 33% less $$ than the quoted link above

Thanks. I'm new to the poster storage/preservation. Can you post a link to the ones you buy?

I failed to find an affordable supplier that could offer me a substantial enough discount (even when paying over $800 for product) to actually make a purchase. I'm working several manufacturers now, so I can begin making my own. The startup costs for me are very high. In turn, I hope to soon be offering a more affordable product while still maintaining the highest quality standards for "indefinite storage". That's totally different than the "long term" storage you get with lesser film stocks.

Here is a handy guide that help to understand the level of detail that I'm now putting into this. It's becoming quite the hobby.

Regardless of where you buy from, you should be able to easily identify the exact nature and properties of the materials you are purchasing. If you aren't able to do that, then the supplier isn't being honest with you, and are selling you an inferior product, with a lower price to get you to make a purchase. There is far more low grade stuff than not, and the vast majority of collectors really have no idea about what they're actually getting. For most people, it doesn't matter to them anyway.

Just remember that your dealing in paper. It's far from being the most durable medium to collect or trade in. There are specific methods approved by the Library of Congress for mitigating those kind of concerns. The materials that I intend to purchase actually come with multiple certificates of origin and authentication. I will eventually be able to offer those same certificates to anyone I sell my products to, or trade with.

LOL. Sure they do, but the expiration date on that stuff is only slightly longer than the loaf of bread inside of it.

Didn't see that you were referring to Mylar. I use Mylar for a lot of my collectibles, but Polypropylene for the cheaper stuff.

I steer clear away from Polyethelyne.

Now that I'm back at a theater, I have access to basically every single (current film) one sheet there is. I said I was going to stop buying posters, but now that they're free..

I may need a third Baroque Portfolio..

That's one of the very effective 3D scenes in "Finest Hours", looking out the car window with melted snow on the windshield.

However, your poster selection is much more interesting!
