I can say it probably won't be the same transfer of the Fortune Star. We finally got Supercop in HD and OAR which I'll be using to create a composite of the Chinese version, which means it'll still have footage from the crappy Chinese release. But, it'll be much better than what Fortune Star would give us.

Anyone able to get a hold of Beautiful Girls and/or Playing By Heart? There's not a store near me with any of these blus and I plan to call BB.com tomorrow and find out what's going on before ordering online, where they say they are both backordered.

If anyone does grab a copy, even just a brief description of the pq would be greatly appreciated. If they have even remotely decent transfers, everything else would be just icing on the cake.

This is the Best Buy in Burbank, IL. I also picked up The Grifters. Never seen it, but the cast is awesome so it was worth a blind buy.

I got Playing By Heart, and did a writeup in the thread for that film. It's clearly an old DVD transfer, very fuzzy. However it's not cropped to 1.78 like the DVD, instead it's partially letterboxed at 2:1.

The Hoax was announced by Buena Vista, but cancelled for reasons never given. Maybe I'm lucky and they pressed a whole bunch of discs before cancelling, and that is what EB will be releasing.

As I answered before, the two releases I have are both in 2.0 DTS-HD MA. I've checked the actual discs and played them to verify this fact. It looks like Echo Bridge is using nothing but the audio found on domestic broadcast masters, which usually aren't in surround. Most of these films have true 5.1 surround mixes, found on the DVDs.
