File size half as before. Now the movies will be just like Netflix movies in size.

It's not just you, I noticed this while watching some prime video content, never had banding or picture issues with Prime before now this nonsense. Maybe they are dealing with a higher load due to MA users plus prime, and they are trying to cut back? I don't know but this is garbage I am contacting CS to tell them I am unhappy, I strongly suggest you do the same.

Well this is a shame. Amazon was my go to for TV shows. They had lovely quality and now.. now it's the same muck as some other digital services.

Someone has to buy it somewhere down the line. It isn't like a digital file is going to "fall off a truck."

In my lifetime, we've gone from sharing is caring to sharing is theft. No wonder our society has gone nuts. Sad.

Amazon has two encodes of the same show in HEVC and AVC.

The AVC encodes have gone back to their older settings but HEVC as far as I know has not at this time but can change.

Amazon have redone the episodes under the old settings for AVC but amazon do want to lower bitrates for their shows so at some point they will go down again but not as bad as it did.

How long till they find the trade off they want I don't know but its going to happen. For now they listened and thankfully they had someone who did but it could of been worse we could of had someone who just ignored people.
