Will your imports play in your current player?

I bought a Blu-ray Spanish import of “The Benny Goodman Story” from Amazon. It says on the Amazon site that it is multi region. It will play in the player in the bedroom and in the player at my Mom’s, but will not play in my PS3. Anyone have an idea why?

I know it's been a few months but no one else responded. My guess is this is a 1080i @ 50Hz (PAL framerate) transfer; IIRC (it's been a few years and my PS3 is unavailable) U.S. PS3's don't play 50Hz content, while many U.S. standalone BD players (and even TVs) will. The packaging on this title (at both Amazon US & Amazon Spain) doesn't say, but it's an independently released disc so it may well come from a European TV transfer; those are usually 50Hz.

Guys I'm UK based & just picked up Shout Factory's Region A Friday 13th collection, I could do with a multiregion, potentially 3D player.

Any suggestions?
