Look at the thumbnail. If it's yellow with a $ sign, it requires a subscription. If it's blue saying "Prime" its included with Prime.

Another "reason" (as if I needed another) to NOT use Amazon Prime.

I see it with a check mark and in blue on the Prime Video app. Doesn't make sense. Beneath it, the next movie shows Subscribe and beneath that one, another that looks identical to the movie in question, but that one is included with Prime.

Speaking as someone with prime, it omly says subscribe. I do see what youvare seeing on the prime app on my tablet, it has the white corner prime on the image. However inthink prime has stopped using those, at least it did on my firestick, confused the crap outta my young daughter when we switched over, its how she used to know what she could watch.

Funny, Amazon had me take a survey about this very thing and i left feedback that it isnt clear like it used to be

I'm not going to go into a diatribe about WHY I abandoned Amazon and refuse to go "Prime". Suffice to say that I find it business-like to compete against your competition, I don't think it's ethical to eliminate your competition.

For anyone who is confused, there is a tiny tab on the left side of the movie's thumbnail. If it's blue and says PRIME, it's included with your Prime membership. If it's blue with a checkmark, that mean's it's available on Amazon's streaming service but requires an additional subscription.

I'm confused to why people think this is a scam. Whatever is available to watch through Prime is what they have licenses to (the same as Netflix, Hulu, any other platform). The additional add-on subscriptions are you buying another streamers subscription but being able to watch it through Amazon.

It's literally the same as if you were to pay for it separately off of Amazon. They are just providing an easier way for Amazon members to purchase the subscription and show what movies are available that way.
