Make sure you check what company is releasing the movie(s) you want, as the quality of releases by small, independent Dutch companies will often not be up to standards. Wrong aspect ratio, lossy audio instead of HD audio, BD25 instead of BD50, 1080i instead of 1080p etc., there have been alot of issues with releases from these companies in the past.
Companies to look out for are DFW (Dutch Film Works), Eone Benelux and the now defunct A-film. Some of their releases have been fine but alot of them are not so be warned! |

Here's an (incomplete) list (hasn't been updated since 2013) of Dutch (Nederland) titles to watch out for, these are not just DFW releases mind you: https://allesoverfilm.nl/forum/showt...-ondertiteling) |

Avoid everything released by Dutch Film Works (DFW). They are going to hunt down and fine people who download because they don't want to buy their subpar releases. Everyone should boycott them, in- and outside The Netherlands.

so how is it possible that DFW is a legit company who sels Blu-Ray's and DVD's for years and never ever had any problems with what they're are selling ? Because i buy their shit for years now and never had a complain about it. So where is this BS coming from ?

DFW has the 2019 movie "Domino" (with 2 actors from Game of Thrones) in Auro-3D English, but the only place I've found that carries that version is bol.com, whose shipping to the US is 3x the price of the blu-ray itself! I wanted to see the movie with an Auro-3D 11.1 soundtrack (all the rest of the versions are DTS 5.1 only), but that shipping is outrageous. I cannot find another site that sells that label version, not even Amazon Netherlands. Given that Auro-3D sits encoded within DTS 5.1 (or 7.1) soundtracks and only takes up marginally more space, I don't understand why all versions don't simply include the Auro-3D soundtrack as it would hurt nothing, but then Auro-3D seems to have problems getting anything out on Blu-Ray so I can't say I'm surprised. Fortunately, there's only a handful of Auro-3D only titles that are in English (e.g. Red Tails, Death Machine and now Domino). I have the first two and they are definitely an improvement over mere 5.1, but then I didn't have to pay 32 dollars US for shipping to get them!

P-Rock and DJR662 A lot of my BBC nature titles that include David Attenborough on Blu-ray are BBC/ DFW partnerships. Sadly the UK/ England only gets the DVD release, so I import the Dutch Blu. I've never had cause for complaint.
Yes I have a multi region player. Will an Oppo 203 be good enough for each of you? Have a look at dfw.nl if you doubt they are honest If you want poor quality rubbish, Spain or Italy are better places to look |

Avoid Excalibur Media: https://excalibur.media/
Lossy audio tracks with low bitrates (e.g. 384 kbps Dolby Digital 5.1) at least in Scandinavia. |

I've imported several Dutch Filmworks titles now. Most have been excellent. Boss Level in Auro-3D was awesome (excellent use of surround and ceiling speakers and fora pretty good not well known movie with Mel Gibson playing the bad guy).

Yes it is, at least for Skandinavian releases of Coalminer's Daughter and For Love of the Game. I didn't find those movies released on Netherlands from blu-ray.com database but their website states "Excalibur Media International has their main focus on the Scandinavian & Benelux markets."
