Nightwish: End of an Era BD fiasco - Blu-ray Forum

Why did the EU edition of this blu-ray was removed from the site BD list? Was it because it already had 2 crushing user reviews reporting the horrible work that was done with that title? 720p? DVD upscale edition?
I find it unfair and dishonest to remove titles if they get bad user reviews just to keep only nice scores in the DB... but that's my opinion...

glad I read this, didn't realise there were problems with this disc.

My bad... using a friends computer and the UK title got filtered out.

Yikes, I'm holding onto my DVD, boss.

Otherwise, I have no idea why the EU version was pulled from the list. Maybe the distributors decided that it was not selling well enough in the UK or from USA pre-orders. But that's just my guess.

DVD quality of Nightwish releases has always been mediocre, sound in particular on End of Innocence concert, it ranges from not good to horrible depending on songs and places it was recorded at. Even From Wishes to Eternity, 2 years before had better image and sound.
Very sad for a band that sells loads in Europe.

No upgrade for me then. Very disappointed. Both DVD as well as the Blu Ray are in bad shape.

"Nightwish IS a fiasco"...I can agree with that, ever since Tarja left. Just as long as you don't say "Nightwish WAS a fisco." I'm sure somebody out there would say that, but whatever. I like 'em anyway.

Marvin Gaye is not so bad; I'm just getting sick of hearing "Let's Get It On" everywhere I go...

I bought all their albums until Once, Marco Hietala's bass is so over produced that Tarja's voice and Tuomas's synth seem way behind, and the tracks with orchestra sound amateur, also melodies seem always the same. No surprise for me the new album (with a pop singer) seems so commercial, with still bass over produced to feel "heavy" and boring melodies.
Visions of Atlantis and Amberian Dawn, luckily, have come to replace them.

What's that one release where you see the crowd like in dark red on the cover?
I keep confusing all their titles, they're lame. :P

But I always wanted to see that since I saw just single songs of it.
So I hope they might release an actual quality-BD for that one.
Otherwise, I'll just get the DVD, should be good if even downloaded clips were fine.

Yes, that's the one, that's quite a cool show.

It's kind of "small" and raw and a direct sound of what I have seen and heard.
And very well performed.

Yeah, video quality was pretty bad, but I stopped thinking about it when I was watching. Never seen them perform. Had a good time.
