Hi, never experienced this before, but Donnie Darko have been removed from the US iTunes store, I can still acces my purchased version via my AppleTV, but I am worried that it will be removed completely and I will loose my bought version
![]() https://www.blu-ray.com/itunes/Donni...-iTunes/76243/ It might be a stupid question, and for that I apologize in advance, but since this is a first time for me, I am looking for a bit of clarification on this issue ![]() |

It happens occasionally, or maybe often , depending your point of view. Movies sometimes change distributors or the studios make alterations and relist it with a new itunesID.
I think distributors thought it would make people repurchase the films or maybe it was an employee who didn’t care one way or the other. I found it very annoying as my library is large and the genre tags are unreliable however Apple recently made changes so that now those older versions also appear on the Store page for each movie. If you search Donnie Darko on the TV app and scroll to the purchase tile above the cast list your older version of Donnie Darko is on a tile hidden behind the new purchase tile. I’m not 100% sure but I think playing the movie will cause the TV app to default to your version in the future. Or else I’m dreaming that. |

That’s the same with any titles that may have been relisted also. |

It also often happens when a movie is licensed out exclusively, for example to HBO or Showtime. In those cases it's usually a temporary window. Donnie Darko is currently on HBO, so that may be the reason why it was taken off the digital stores.

Thanks for all the answers and the clarification on why it happens, I am good as long as I get to keep my already owned and paid for version
