I've heard that this is supposed to be out on BD. Where can I get it? Or if it's not out; when is it out?

It's out in The Netherlands. 1080p24, DTS 1509kbps (no lossless or lossy track). Dutch subs are removable.
It's a average quality. Better than DVD, but not Suburb.

Check the hot deals region b part of this forum for relevant webshops.

Thanks, I found the dutch one myself. But is there dutch on the cover as well, or english? English subs?

Most movies have their original title. We are quite English oriented so most titles are not translated. Some animation titles are translated, but that is it.

Cover
So this cover has Dutch on it, but the title/logo is in English. The synopsis and specs will be in Dutch.

Disc
I do not know about the menu's. But they would not be hard to figure out if they are in Dutch (might be in English or partly in English). Subtitles are probably optional. You should check out another topic on this subject, because it has been imported and discussed several times on this forum.

A friend has the Neverending Story import. It's very English friendly, you should have no trouble navigating the disc.

Dutch movies are more often English friendly than they are Dutch friendly.

And I'm serious... most of my movies start off in English and if I want Dutch subtitles or menus (which I normally don't) then I would have to navigate through an English menu to enable this...

long bump on this one but there seem to be few threads on the Dutch Films version

I just received this version, and it seems there is no menu - it just plays. You can change the subtitles on/off through your player settings, and the same with the audio. It defaulted to English 5.1 and Dutch subtitles, for me.

The picture seems to be much brighter and more clear than the other copies of this on bluray, from what I've seen. There is no yellow dark haze in the Ivory Tower for instance. It definitely has a lot of dust inherent in the original scan from 2008, but I would say that it looks better than the other international versions of this era. The Japanese version from 2018 may look better - I do not have it to compare.

The general bitrate seems to be around 29-35Mbps, which seems higher than the reported other international versions (said to be 20Mbps).
