I've just watched the Ultimate Cut as my first viewing. Do I lose any of the action if I go with another cut of the film for second viewing? I'm really here for the action but wanted to see the lot first time round.

Also Re the alt endings do they effect the action sequences?

I think calling them alternative endings is stretching things somewhat. I won't spoil them but there isn't much difference between them in terms of footage, maybe 30-60 seconds worth of difference. Definitely no difference to action.

I'm with you. I ended up watching each ending and it's good to know it didn't effect the bits after the two scenes I could tell were effected.

So which is the more action oriented cut? I don't want to miss any action on my second viewing but the other scenes could definitely do with tightening up.

So I finally finished watching everything of the US set. Goddamn. That was a lot. Looks great. Slight tinge of teal, maybe? Is it me?

[Show spoiler]What was the ending we got on the Dragon Dynasty DVD? Was it where both heroes lived? Feel like I remember some of those bits for some reason. Also... that was like harsh as hell on Biao's character.

Man, I just love this film so much. So many memories from when I first saw it on that DD disc.

That Martial Arts disc though, I dunno. Felt kind of pointless to me. Neat but pointless. Wasn't very good either if aside from being essentially a compilation of fight scenes. Saxon couldn't sell it right when talked about it. It was alright. Might watch it to have in the background at some point.

Started on the 88 Films' set. Maybe I've seen RW too much lately but... colors look more vibrant. I'll have to compare but so far, think 88 Films got the better picture. It took my attention quick w/ just the intro sequence. Maybe I'm hitting RW fatigue, I've seen it so many times these past few days.

The Dragon Dynasty DVD has the HK ending. The alternate ending from the Singapore Cut was contained as a bonus.
