That's sad news. I've bought quite a few Network DVDs and Blu-rays over the years, not a massive amount, but enough to know the quality of the products they produce.
That quality was always evident to me in many of their TV releases, with cracking DVD sets of The Saint, and Blu-rays of Department S, The Professionals, Man in a Suitcase, and their wonderful treatment of my absolute favourite and most cherished TV show, The Persuaders! (which not only received a first-rate Blu release, but also great anniversary events).

It is immensely sad to hear that Tim Beddows has left us. Network, and in particular their loyalty to ITC, is the label I most love supporting and large swathes of my collection are shows that many people said would never ever be considered for blu-ray.

Thank you, Tim.

I saw Tim Beddows at the ITC 2 event back in 2019 at Elstree studios. He leaves a legacy of quality releases behind, as others have said, many no other label would have bothered with. I hope Network can continue beyond the 25 years and fulfill his future plans.

Default Danger Man

Is that the event when Tim said they were working on Danger Man?

I don't recall that being said and I think I would have remembered, so it must have been some other time.

Hopefully not just being nice, they normally say "no plans"

You mean in the correct aspect ratio? I assume Network don't have a licence as the current blu-ray is released by ITV.

I don’t want to get anyone’s hopes up, but they said something similar when I asked about Fortean TV, then soon after it appeared… So take that how you will.

Correct OAR and mono audio. The Shout factory US blu-ray does this but I understand it has alaising issues so I'm holding out for a UK reissue.

A really moving obituary to Tim Beddows by Andrew Pixley, talking about how his work with the company came about by chance, and the unavailability of many of these programmes before Network were formed.

Legends! Thank you for sharing.

I have most of the Network TV sets that include books by Pixley. They are absolutely amongst my most cherished physical media releases. Network, with no direct comparisons, are a singular label that have released so many titles which would’ve otherwise been left in the vaults.
