I actually really enjoyed this one and find some of the criticisms a bit puzzling. I liked how the movie is put together with more thoughtful direction, care and money than many of the sloppily thrown together exploitation flicks from HK that use gratuitous sex to make up for the shortcomings in craftsmanship. I mean...aren't there already enough of those? Hell there's still a ton of shots of Leung being totally naked in this one but I guess some people just need that extra bit of sexual degradation and violence to be happy?

I suppose it could have done with another big set piece and the abrupt ending is a major flaw, but otherwise this was a nice little surprise. I hope 88 can still put out the sequel even though it is apparently not as good.

I'm not sure what you're basing this statement on. While there are certainly HK films that feature gratuitous sex it is a very small percentage of their overall output. Likely the same as any other country.

I obviously meant the CAT III girls with gun stuff, not HK movies in general.

hah! I initially thought this was for The Cat, which is insane OTT HK film with cats, dogs and aliens! That one I was excited for...

I am still counting on 88 to release that one. There is also EVIL CAT with Lau-kar Leung which isn't half bad either.
