the last time I looked AE STILL did not have a dedicated blu-ray page which is just ridiculous.
they have great releases, but man their website SUCKS so bad.
they need a total revamp imo.

A bunch of AE titles are out of license at the minute. Among them are such titles as Weekend and Slow Motion by Jean-Luc Godard, and the Jean Vigo collection, and yes, the majority of the Tarkovsky's (The Sacrifice isn't strangely). Based on what I've seen AE fully expects to get the licensing sorted in the first quarter of this year. Not sure about Blu-ray releases for those titles though, although I'd kill for any of the Godard's or Tarkovsky flicks in the AE catalogue on Blu-ray. I'd trade my first born for the Vigo collection on Blu!

It's worth noting that if you have a Fopp nearby a lot of AE DVD's can be had for £5 at the moment. Both of the OOL Godard's can be had in that offer, so I wouldn't be surprised if some stores had the Tarkovsky's.

I have bought 2 AE Blu-rays just in the last few weeks...Certified Copy and Winter's bone (both good films). I also have Fish Tank, Hidden, Waltz with Bashir and Katyn bringing my total number of AE titles on Blu-ray up to 6, not to mention several more on dvd.

Any word on AE releasing the Three colours trilogy on BD in the UK? Would also like to see Last Resort though not getting my hopes up on that one.

I like their recent choices of films, especially Lourdes, Certified Copy and White Material. Of Gods and men wasn't bad either. But like you I'm a little disappointed they aren't re-releasing any of their older DVDs onto Blu-ray. From memory, does anyone know how many existing DVDs received a Blu-ray release? Or where they are all released on Blu-ray/DVD at the same time? I would love Beau Travail too, I recently bought the DVD and it is a great film. Even more I would like L’intrus as that is my favourite film of all time!

They released The Double Life Of Veronique and Zatoichi long after the DVD, but aside from that I'm not sure. I'm absolutely gutted that they aren't bothering with the new Tarkovsky box set on Blu-ray.

I can't see why AI will be releasing much of their back catalogue because they have different owners now.

If they've not paid old bills they'll have no rights to past titles.

Route Irish was due out yesterday, and I'm curious to know if anyone picked it up? How is it? Knowing Artificial Eye it should be a good film, and their recent string of releases have been very nice.

Yeah, Angels of Evil was pushed back too, scheduled release is now 10/24.

Any reviews yet for the UK boxset of the Three colours trilogy? I see the Criterion one has scored 4/5 for PQ, but I doubt we'll get the same transfers will we?
