I think I will wait for this to go down in price. £50 is a bit steep for just one film. I love this edition, but as its not limited edition i dont think it will disappear that quickly i mean look at the inception limited edition you can still get that!

I picked this up with living social vouchers so got it for just about ten pounds, I've not opened it though. I will post some pics when I do. It looks lovely though

This is one of my favourite sets as it is quite well designed and although it's only cardboard it's quite sturdy.

Not sure if it's worth £49.99 however I used living social vouchers so it cost me a lot less.

Very interesting TTSS Deluxe Edition - I like the way they've designed it. There were two copies in my local HMV (where I think they are priced £59.99!) so I had a quick look at the packaging today. It certainly felt weighty and I like the 'secret' drawer where the discs are.

Like you, I don't know if it's worth paying the full RRP for, but I guess there might be a clearance price drop if they don't sell too many in the coming weeks.

I'll continue to pay close attention to this deluxe edition and import it into the US when there's a price drop. I very much enjoyed the film and the set seems well designed.

So is there a case inside the overall box for the movie? Because I hate when sets like this don't have that, so you have to keep the discs with the overall large box. For instance, my brother has this 300 special edition (I believe the only movie he owns lol), with the art book being very long, which is fine. But the discs are housed IN THE ARTBOOK. Not only is this aesthetically unpleasing, but it is extremely inconvenient. There is no way to fit the book on the movie shelf, and even if there was, it would look deplorable. And unless you always have the artbook on display, it's hard to get at the discs.

On the contrary, when I buy special editions, I make a point of ensuring that the discs are in a case. Like, the Inception briefcase edition is a great example, in that you have all the special stuff and whatnot, but the actual discs are housed in a case identical to the vanilla one you buy at the store. Or the Dirty Harry boxset, same thing - the discs are in normal cases (actually, those cases are as big as DVD cases and not normal BD cases for some reason, but the point stands). Or the Blade Runner Ultimate thing - it's a monstrously sized box, but the movie discs themselves are housed inside a normal sized case.

From those pictures, it looks like this is not the case for this boxset, and you have to keep the discs inside the overall large box. Unless I am looking at the pictures wrong, in which case do please correct me.

Anyways, is this only in Europe?

I don't have it but it looks like they are stored in the box, in the small compartment you pull out in the bottom.
