I live outside Brasil , and I have the same problem with the shipping cost with Livraria Saraiva.
There are other stores, with less shipping cost.

Ariello, I know how hard is to get things from somewhere outside your country if you haven´t someone else help, and i always had to have someone´s else help when i need to buy some thing from amazon.com for example, due the surchages it make for brazilian orders. So it doesnot cost anything to me to help people to get something from here too.

Well, being "store" all of those will ship the material as "merchandise" which, beside having a higher price to ship, may be subject to duties in the destination country, if you get from som people, it will be shipped as "mail" from a person to another, and so, the duty can not be applied.

The price of shipping up to 500 grams of blurays/cds and dvds from here is 10 dolars for most coutries, for phisical person... ut for stores, it at least the triple.

Thanks for the suggestion ariello2001 but only 1 of those stores has the title in stock and it costs twice as much as the one on Saraiva.

Yes, of course, the prices at CDPOINT are too high but without the ThiagoPE's help is the best Website to buy BD or DVD in Brazil.

I don´t know how much those sites charges for shipping, but cd point have the expensivest prices for the products.

How here the stores have its own policy for prices, the best thing is to seach for the product you want, as the diferences can be huge, in one store a movie can be R$15, in other the same edition can be R$50

I just discovered this seller yesterday on eBay while I was searching for a Blu-Ray of the BBC "Pride & Prejudice" miniseries with Portuguese subtitles. This is a title I've been trying to find for a long time with Portuguese, but I had not had any luck.

I was delighted when I found Hidef, since finding sources for Brazilian Blu-Rays at anywhere near a reasonable price can be a challenge. Needless to say, I ordered the movie. I can post back here to let everyone know how long it takes to arrive.

If you use PayPal, you can send me the money for the movie disc + PayPal fees + shipping and I can buy it here send it for you.

Almost all Brazilian companies doesn't ship internationally, the few ones that do that, charge a lot, so, the cheapest way still is asking someone to get the item for you and shipping it as gift.

The standard shopping price for one bluray to United States or Europe is 22BRL (about 10 USD)

Thiago recently helped me get the 'Frozen" 3D Blu-ray from Brazil to the US. He's a great guy, and he only asks for the actual price & shipping, and doesn't ask for any compensation for his time and trouble. I'm hoping I can return the favor someday if he ever needs something shipped from the US!
