Any news about dutch classic movies to be released on blu-ray?

Would like to see,

- Amsterdammed
- De Lift
- Flodder 1-3
- Schatjes
- Soldaat van Oranje

Fat chance. More chance they will be on blu outside the Netherlands. Just like Antonia has been released in Germany and the UK version of Zwartboek (Black Book) had been released far before the Dutch release. The UK version has better bitrates and more features. Well, I dislike the non interest in our own cultural heritage.

Will be waiting for Frankenstein's Army to be released in september.
That's a classic b-movie from the Netherlands..

Soldier of Orange would surely be a terrific Dutch release as well as Keetje Tippel [one of my most favs movies

] or Turkish Delight for that matter.

But i have not come across any announcements yet of your mentioned titles.

Though end of last year it was also a big surprise to see the title "Lek" suddenly on Blu Ray by Entertainment One!
So I guess we can be surprised with more Dutch titles from the past.

Van God Los 10th anniversary is planned for oct. Not seen that one coming. It is that they have a lot of "just not it" releases, otherwise I would be sad they don't own the rights to titles as Soldier of orange, Turkish Delight, De Aanslag.

I think that most Dutch classics like the early Verhoeven and Dick Maas films will require extensive restauration. This is why we haven't seen them released on Blu Ray. I for one would love to own Soldier of Orange, Flodders, Karakter and others in HD.

How about "Dood Eind" or "Sl8n8" ?
Personaly I like "De Sint" from Huub Stapel.

Sint is available on Blu Ray. Don't know about the other two, but they are fairly recent movies so they might've had a Blu Ray release.

Dood eind and sl8n8 are only released on dvd.
Hope someday a company will release a lineup of classic dutch movies.

Max Havelaar is heading for Blu Ray this may. Finally some unexpected good news. I really hope for a great remastering of PQ and AQ.

This definately will be added to my collection.

Any word if this will have English subs? I notice the Dutch DVD did.

Pre-ordered this some weeks ago, really looking forward to one of the greatest Dutch movies on BD.

I contacted the company some weeks ago. They said it was postponed indefinitely unfortunately.

There are two versions of "Spetters" being released on August 14th on Amazon.De. I think they are German & Dutch subtitles only.

Correction there are English subtitle options too, although strangely it doesn't mention this on the packaging, just on the disc's menu options.
