I used it during my 30 day free trial and it showed to me that Amazon Prime is a complete rip-off.
Seriously: if you don't cancel your 30 day trial, they say they'll charge you for A WHOLE YEAR. Not monthly, but A YEAR. And there's hardly any TV shows and films on there. In fact, I only found one TV show worth watching. Then there's the fact the Instant Video app frequently experiences a problem and if your Wi-Fi isn't strong enough, the video quality resorts to basically a telesnap reconstruction. Terrible service certainly not worth £79 a year. |

My OH has it and there's 3 of us as his guests that can use the service.
Between the 3 of us we definitely utilise the Prime Delivery, especially as we're not all at the same address. I use the Prime Instant to stream, but I also have Netflix and use Prime BD rental service. Netflix IMHO is a superior streaming service for PQ and choice, especially when you use a VPN ![]() Prime Instant feels like there's less choice of free movies to watch and an increasing amount of PPV. |

Amazon Prime app on iOS now allows you to download movies and tv shows for offline viewing. Not necessarily revolutionary but a nice added feature. I travel a lot and don't always have a wifi connection.

It is limited to SD only downloads from what I can tell, but along with the recent update to allow HD STREAMING on iOS it has just given me the ability to get rid of our home broadband completely. Shame I'm under contract with my broadband provider until March next year.

I gave Netflix a chance and was grateful for the original series like Scream and Daredevil but the selection on the UK Netflix is just so slim, so I found myself going back to Prime again which just seems to have everything. I don't even know how Netflix is still going considering Prime seems to have hold of so many of the big shows right now and so many of the big classics too.

I don't really look for recent stuff, I look for cult stuff I can't get on region B BDs and Prime normally wins. Netflix has got some great originals though, especially Scream, I loved that. In terms of quality I can't say one way or another, my internet is not good enough at the moment to put either through their paces.

Well, I just wanted to share how great Amazon Prime Video is compared to Netflix. It seems (to me anyway) that they carry better movie selections than Netflix does. Lots of great independent movies carried on Prime Video as well as other Hollywood movies Netflix can't seem to have the rights to.
